MATI (Music at the Intersection)
We’re the partnerships, publicity, social media, and merch team behind MATI (Music at the Intersection) festival and conference in St. Louis’ Grand Center Arts District.
Since the festival’s inception, we’ve helped Kranzberg Arts Foundation build and enact creative partnerships / sponsorships with local and national brands - and made sure those partners were taken care of on-site.
Our publicity wing - specialized in large events - handles everything from pre-event announcements and storytelling to on-site media (local and national) and photo pit management. As a young festival, MATI has received coverage from Forbes, PEOPLE, Billboard, SPIN, VIBE, The Source, Ebony, BET, Live for Live Music and more. In addition to vetting and credentialing dozens of media and influencers for festival access, Mid Coast also hires and manages MATI’s internal content team, making sure three days across three stages (along with dozens of activations) are captured and documented via photo, video and drone - all in accordance with artist requirements. In 2024, Mid Coast also took over MATI’s social media channels, organically growing the festival’s following (and moving tickets) through creative content creation, dozens of artist collaborations (organized with management) and quick-turn on-site photo and video sharing.
Our merch wing, ByJack, serves as MATI’s print shop, producing banners and materials for outdoor promotion, as well as merch for festival weekend. Both the ByJack festival tent and on-demand merch truck are activated at MATI, allowing multiple options for attendees to engage and shop with the MATI brand.
